It’s been about a month since Ronin and I have started playing 40K. Our goal, learn the rules and get a fully painted army each to go and play at one of the Gauteng clubs. Let’s see what has happened in the past few weeks.
Last Saturday the girls were out of the house for the afternoon. This meant Ronin and I had some time to kill. I had planned to put up some shelving in my study (I have games on my chair and floor!) but instead I decided to crack open the First Strike Warhammer 40K starter box and see if Ronin would like it.
It was Sunday morning and I had the house to myself. I didn’t want to watch TV and I was not in the mood to paint some models so I thought I’d have a game and try my hand at another write up. Zulus on the Ramparts was getting a lot of attention on the Solo Wargames group recently and that made be keen to play it again.
This weekend saw the 2017 Blood Bowl kick off for the Warbanner gaming club. With a total of 9 players, every one still green to the game, we had a fun Sunday of football mayhem!
It was a Friday night, Pria was cramming for her Strategic Management exam on Saturday. The kids were also studying, their exams were starting the following Monday. My study had flooded on Thursday night and everything was in a bit of a state so I could not finish the models I was working on. I did the next best thing, play some board games.
