Earlier in the year I decided to take up a 10 x 10 challenge. That’s to play 10 selected games 10 times each, before the year is out. Last year I was done by mid-February, this year I’m taking it slow and savouring the games. I think it’s time I took stock of where I am on the challenge.
I don’t often boast about my kids. Well I try not to, those that hear me boasting might say otherwise 😉 This week my son received an award for the Best Junior Chess player in his school. I’m exceptionally proud. Samara plays too and she is certainly better than he is, from what I gather she is the best of the seniors but that award is usually given to the Grade 7’s not the 6’s so she should get one year. The thing that I’m really excited about is not the achievement itself but the fact that Ronin did it even though he has ADD.
It’s been a while since my last #StuffOnMyDesk post, and it shows. My desk is a mess. My projects have slowed down too. That’s not to say that there hasn’t been any movement.
So this weekend I was amped to get stuck into my painting again. I was going to be home alone but then life happened…
The first rule of Paint Club is always talk about paint club. Doing things in a group or along with others where you can share experiences just makes them easier. Even something that you do alone, link painting. I’m lazy. One of the reasons for this blog is to get myself to play more games. So if sharing about games gets me to play more, the same should work for painting.
