Here’s the next episode in my saga of Painting DOOM, the Possessed Marines. These were humans that were changed by the powers they let loose while mining on Mars. They are nasty little buggers who were fused with their armour and weapons. Kind of melting into a single unit.
I’m busy painting the models from DOOM the Board game and I thought “why not write up how I’m going through the process”. Now; I’ve already painted the Imps and I’ve started with the Marines so I don’t remember exactly which colours were used. I’ll do my best to describe the colours that I have used in these guides. For the future guides (the rest of the models) I’ll make notes so that you can have a better idea of what I’ve done.
It’s been a while since I’ve had time for one of these in fact I think it’s my first this year! I have been busy, at least it feels this way, so let’s see what I have been up too.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who has a few hundred models that need paint slapped on them. It’s also safe to say that there are others like me who have a few hundred models on order too. It’s especially easy to have that happen with so many Kickstarter projects that just churn out the models. This year I’m expecting Massmorra, Dark Souls, Mythic Battles, Kingdom Death, among others. So with time at a premium I need to find a way to get the bulk (rank and file) models painted up to a decent table top standard fairly quickly or I’ll never get anything done.
Enter Army Painter…
My desk has been busy of late. It might appear to be a mess (even more so because of the wind, luckily nothing broke!) but I like to think of it as organised chaos. It actually looks like I’m doing something!
