Cleaning up my act

Clean up my act

Winter is hard because of the cold. It’s a wonderful time to play games. The Paruman house has been on a bit of a go slow as the kids are studying for mid-year exams. As a result, I’ve been playing a lot of Xbox, with headphones so as not to disturb them. I’ve had a few ideas about things to blog about, but it just seems easier to re-watch Star Trek, ahead of the new Pickard series due soon.

So with time at a premium I need to find a way to get the bulk (rank and file) models painted up to a decent table top standard fairly quickly or I’ll never get anything done.

Enter Army Painter…

I made my first custom insert! I also painted Lost Patrol

So I’ve had this piece of foam core sitting in my study for almost a year. I bought it with the intention on making custom inserts for the games I have that really need them. I’m looking at you FFG. However most of the foam core ended up being used on school projects for the kids. It is very easy to work with and you can make some really cool stuff with it.

Then I got Food Chain Magnate. It cost me R 2,250. There are over 300 cards in the box and it has no insert at all….
